Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of LVN training from accredited school or college.
• Valid LVN license in good standing.
• Valid CPR and BLS card.
• IV Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Providing nursing care in privacy for residents.
• Checking vital signs and documenting results.
• Dressing wounds when needed.
• Inserting catheters as directed.
• Listening to residents and families for concerns.
• Answering questions and addressing concerns of residents.
• Charting resident progress notes accurately.
• Reporting changes in condition to the charge nurse.
• Assisting and supervising CNAs as required.
• Ensuring equipment is in good operating order.
• Monitoring residents at risk for falls.
• Collecting lab samples as needed.
• Following infection control policies and procedures.
• Reporting exposures to supervisors immediately.
• Attending annual facility in-service training.
• Completing other assignments when requested.
