Job summary

VALLEY PALMS CARE CENTER in Los Angeles is seeking a dedicated LVN to provide routine nursing care to residents in accordance with current standards and under supervision.

Must hold an active LVN license in good standing, possess CPR/BLS certification, and be capable of accurate charting and communication with residents and families. Ability to assist CNAs and work on-site is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have LVN training from an accredited school or college.
• Valid LVN license in good standing is required.
• CPR and BLS certification are required.
• IV certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care with privacy and dignity.
• Check vital signs and monitor residents.
• Dressing wounds and inserting catheters as needed.
• Listen to residents and families, addressing questions.
• Accurately chart resident progress notes.
• Report changes in condition to the nurse supervisor.
• Assist and supervise CNAs and ensure equipment is functional.
• Monitor residents at risk for falls and collect lab samples.
• Follow all facility policies, Infection Control, and safety rules.
• Attend in-service trainings and perform other duties as assigned.
