Job summary

Woodgate Senior Care LLC is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our care team in a facility setting. The LVN will administer medications, implement care plans, and provide direct support with daily living activities for elderly residents.

You will document care, transcribe orders, participate in shift reports, and educate nursing aides while adhering to Texas Board of Nursing scope and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed LVN in good standing per TX BON.
• Excellent assessment and documentation skills.
• Good communication abilities.
• Ability to work within LVN scope of practice as per Texas Board of Nursing.
• Organize workflow and respond to emergencies.
• Meet physical demands including extended shifts.
• Genuine care for elderly and handicapped residents.
• Comply with patient rights and facility policies.
• Direct Nurse Aides for appropriate resident care.
• Administer medications per physician orders and care plans.
• Implement resident care plans in compliance with laws.

Responsibilities

• Administer resident medications and follow physician orders.
• Implement established nursing policies and educate staff.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living per care plans.
• Perform treatments as required by resident needs.
• Transcribe orders accurately and promptly.
• Document resident charts timely and accurately.
• Participate in shift reports and care coordination.
• Maintain infection control and a safe working environment.
• Respond to staffing shortages by arranging replacements.
