Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. in Kansas is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with applicable standards and regulations, under supervision of RCC Services or the Nurse Supervisor.

You will perform a broad range of duties from admissions and daily hygiene to documenting care and reporting changes, while maintaining resident dignity, confidentiality, and safety across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license (LPN) in good standing with the State.
• Must have basic computer skills and ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to work beyond normal hours, weekends and holidays when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with standards and regulations.
• Comply with community, nursing department, and organizational policies.
• Report abuse/neglect immediately to supervisor and maintain resident confidentiality.
• Assist in admissions/discharges and daily hygiene care (bathing, oral, ear, eye, nail care).
• Assist with transfers, lifting, positioning, and transportation of residents.
• Document changes in resident condition and care provided; participate in care planning and charting.
• Perform routine labs, blood pressure checks, and other monitoring as per care plans.
• Complete accident/incident reports and required documentation; maintain inter-departmental rapport.
