Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a PRN, on-site role at the GSS SD Desmet Ctr. You will provide nursing care under supervision, administer medications, and participate in care planning to support residents’ well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Current LPN license in good standing.
• Experience in long-term care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Contribute to assessment and care planning for residents.
• Document resident interactions, outcomes, and care-related information.
• Counsel residents, families, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support resident well-being.

Education

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license

Associate degree in practical nursing (preferred)
