Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting. This PRN position operates under supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, and supports residents with their care plans and daily needs.

Duties include administering medications, documenting care interactions, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license with state nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges.
• Pre-licensure program included supervised clinical experience across the life span.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long term care under supervision.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medications, behavior, activity, and dietary.
• Contribute to assessment of residents and collaborate with interdisciplinary care team.
• Counsel residents, family members or resident advocate on prevention and treatment plans.
