Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as an LPN in Georgia.
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's physical and emotional needs and provide appropriate care.
• Performs the initial assessment upon patient’s arrival and develops a plan of care with the Physician.
• Documents nursing interventions and communicates plan of care through written documentation and verbal reports.
• Correctly administers and documents medication regime.
• Identifies and implements infection control and safety practices.
• Serves as clinical resource for MOA's and other non-licensed staff.
• Maintains current skills checklist and assists with performance of skills checklist on others.
• Completes a minimum of six hours continuing education within the review year.
• Serves as a preceptor to nursing students or new staff members.
• Cross trains to perform basic radiological and laboratory functions.
• Conducts at least one clinically related in-service for center staff each year.
