Qualified candidates will hold an active LPN license and may have 2+ years in long-term care, with CPR and EMR experience preferred. On-site position with benefits and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current LPN license to practice.
• CPR certification and nursing specialty certification preferred.
• Prefer 2 years’ experience in a long-term care setting.
• Basic computer skills and EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the nursing care of residents on the unit, ensuring proper nurse aide assignment.
• Uses independent judgment and discretion in performing duties for the organization.
• Provides safe and accurate medication-related interventions to residents.
• Administers and documents medications and treatments per each resident’s schedule.
• Knows the rationale for effects of medications and treatments and administers them accordingly.
• Performs wound care, urinary catheterization, oxygen care, and related procedures per physician orders.
• Orders and receives medications from the pharmacy and tracks narcotics with sign-off.
• Responds promptly to resident pain requests and documents in the resident record.
• Transcribes and coordinates physician orders and updates as needed.
• Performs nursing assessments and notifies physicians of status changes.
