Job summary

StoneBridge Senior Living in Marble Hill, MO is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide basic medical care and assess residents' wellbeing as part of a caring interdisciplinary team. The role requires patience, empathy, and the ability to administer medications, document treatments, and respond to residents' needs with accuracy and respect.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Missouri LPN license.
• CPR certification required; additional nursing certifications preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care of residents on the unit with appropriate nurse aide support.
• Use independent judgment and discretion in performing duties.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to residents.
• Administer and document medications and treatments according to each resident’s schedule.
• Know the rationale for medications and ensure correct administration.
• Perform physician-ordered treatments (e.g., wound care, catheter care, oxygen, tracheostomy care).
• Order and receive medications from the pharmacy.
• Maintain accurate narcotics count and secure medication carts.
• Respond to resident requests for pain intervention and document in resident records.
• Transcribe and coordinate implementation of physician orders; perform nursing assessments.
• Notify physician of status changes and implement new orders.
• Prepare work assignment sheets considering safety, preparation, and staff capabilities.
• Report staff shortages to nursing management.
• Participate in actions related to rewards or discipline.
