Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care in our Lexington, NC facility. The role supports assessment, planning, and patient education within established policies and procedures. You will document patient responses and collaborate with RNs to ensure safe, effective care.

Applicants must have completed a Practical Nursing program and hold an active LPN license in North Carolina. BLS must be obtained within 6 months unless waived by leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for the state where practicing.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months, unless waived.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per policies and standards.
• Assist with assessment and data documentation, report changes.
• Assist in developing and implementing the plan of care.
• Support patient teaching per plan of care.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses.
• Communicate changes in medical orders to RN.
• Perform nursing tasks: meds, IV therapy, wound care, venipuncture.
• Ensure patient positioning and safe transport.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care knowledge as per department.
