Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care and services to assigned patients under supervision. The role emphasizes assisting with daily living activities, hygiene, feeding, and documentation to ensure patient comfort and safety.

The position requires adherence to policies, punctuality, and effective communication with care teams. Weekend and shift work may be involved, with a non-exempt status and 24 scheduled hours per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and CNA certification.
• Current CNA certification or completion within three months of hire is required.
• Must pass state criminal background check and federal checks if applicable.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, and charts per policy.
• Measure and record temperatures, pulse, and respirations as directed.
• Provide adult geriatric care based on established standards and assessments.
• Use vital signs instruments, CPM, catheter care, and other equipment as instructed.
• Assist with ADLs, feeding, hygiene, and mobility under supervision.
• Report accidents, abuse, or property misappropriation per policy.
