Job summary

InVision Human Services is seeking compassionate Live-In Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on care and companionship to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Harrisburg area. The role requires residing on-site during shifts and offering flexible hours to support residents’ routines and activities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a nurturing demeanor.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and reside on-site during scheduled shifts.
• Prior experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities is a plus
• High school diploma or GED is required
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Must pass background checks and drug screening
• Familiarity with 6400 regulations is advantageous
• Successful completion of motor vehicle records and background check.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
• Administer medications as directed
• Provide transportation to medical appointments, community events, and social outings
• Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and track progress toward personal goals
• Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion in everyday life
