Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home and community-based support for individuals with IDD in Bethlehem, PA and surrounding areas. Training, support, and career growth opportunities are provided, with competitive pay and weekly pay options.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass background screenings.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional, Behavioral Health Technician, or CNA preferred but not required.
Reliable transportation required.
Ability to pass required background screenings.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Support community integration and participation in recreational activities.
Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
Promote independence while ensuring safety and well-being.
Document services and client progress accurately.
Follow individualized care plans and behavioral support plans as needed.
Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional relationship with clients and families.
