Jobot seeks a Legal Intake Specialist on Long Island to serve as the first point of contact for potential clients, handle calls about new matters, and gather and document case information. A background in legal intake, customer service, medical offices, or call centers is preferred.

You will evaluate cases, maintain thorough notes in the firm's system, coordinate with attorneys, and ensure timely follow-ups with clients while upholding empathy and professionalism in challenging conversations.

Qualifications

• Experience in legal intake, customer service, medical office, or call center environments.
• Excellent phone presence and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate during sensitive conversations.
• Experience with CRM or case management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls regarding new legal matters.
• Gather, document, and organize case information.
• Evaluate and qualify potential cases based on established criteria.
• Maintain detailed notes and records within the firm’s case management system.
• Coordinate with attorneys and support staff regarding new matters.
