Job summary

Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center invites an attentive team member to assist with meal service, dishwashing, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized for residents and guests.

This role maintains safe and welcoming dining in a faith-based community, lifting up to 50 pounds, and coordinating with dining staff while complying with HIPAA and health standards. Weekday, evening, and weekend shifts with starting pay $15.00–$15.75 per hour are offered.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout a shift.
• Able to read and follow directions.
• Friendly and able to communicate effectively in English with residents and coworkers.
• Comfortable working in a Christian retirement community.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and put away dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Transport dishes between the dining room, kitchen, and dishwashing area.
• Keep wait staff stocked with dishes, silverware, and serving items.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen following infection control and food safety guidelines.
• Use supplies and equipment safely and according to Fairhaven policies.
• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents and coworkers.
• Protect resident privacy and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Report any concerns involving resident safety, rights, abuse, or neglect.
