Job summary

Savant Senior Living is seeking a Dishwasher to maintain a clean and sanitary dining area and kitchen. You will operate dishwashing equipment, sanitize items, and support the culinary team to ensure timely meal service for residents.

The role requires 18+ years old, health/TB/clearance, and Food Handlers certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days. Shifts include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Health Screening, TB Clearance, and Criminal Record Clearance required.
• First Aid/ CPR Certification and Food Handlers Certification required or willing to obtain within 30 days.
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure thorough cleaning and sanitization of all items to meet food safety standards.
• Follow established procedures for proper handling, washing, and storing of cleaned items.
• Assist culinary team members by maintaining a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils.
• Support kitchen cleanup by removing trash, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining overall cleanliness.
• Maintains upkeep on all kitchen equipment, ensuring that weekly/monthly cleaning schedules are maintained.
• Adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols, including wearing PPE.
• May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Follow proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals to prevent accidents or contamination.
• Stocks serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
• Communicate effectively with culinary team members regarding dishwashing needs and priorities.
• Interact courteously with residents and staff, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
• Respond to resident requests and special dietary considerations in a helpful and accommodating manner.
• Cleans trash receptacles with water or steam.
• Moves dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work area by hand.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
