Job summary

Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center is seeking reliable and compassionate Wait Staff to support our Dining Services team. You will serve meals to residents, maintain a clean and safe dining environment, and assist with dishwashing and food service tasks in a Christian retirement community from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM (full-time) or 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM (part-time).

Starting pay is $15.00–$15.45 per hour with benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout a shift.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions.
• Friendly communication skills and the ability to work well with residents and coworkers.
• Comfortable working in a Christian retirement community.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests.
• Understand and follow special dietary requirements when serving food.
• Set up, deliver, and collect meal trays.
• Set and clear dining room tables.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen and dining equipment.
• Clean tables, chairs, and dining room floors after meals.
• Complete daily cleaning checklists.
• Protect resident privacy and follow HIPAA regulations.
• Build positive relationships with residents and coworkers.
• Follow sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures.
• Report any concerns involving resident safety, abuse, neglect, or resident rights.
