Job summary

Master Center for Addiction Medicine in Virginia is seeking an Intake Coordinator to screen patients and conduct intakes at our outpatient treatment center. You will be the first point of contact, educating callers about services and ensuring privacy with empathy and care.

The role requires attention to detail, multitasking, and strong communication over the phone and with team members. Full-time position with comprehensive benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting.
• Proficient with phones and computer software.
• Experience using EMRs (electronic medical records).
• Hard-working, honest and compassionate.
• Teachable and takes initiative.
• Experience with addiction and substance abuse communities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries via phone and other methods from individuals seeking treatment.
• Conduct initial prescreening to determine suitable program options.
• Document and record all pertinent information accurately.
• Relay the organization's mission and values and explain services and program compliance.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits information for payor sources.
• Schedule activities for new patient encounters in coordination with staff.
• Provide exceptional customer service and professional communications to patients and families.
• Complete follow-up tasks related to referrals and inquiries in a timely manner.
