Job summary

Riverfront Rehab is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook a wide variety of foods for residents, employees and visitors. You will follow recipes and schedules, and perform related cleaning duties.

You may direct other food service staff in the absence of the Food Service Director. Responsibilities include sanitary food handling, following diet orders, meeting meal times, minimizing waste, and maintaining production sheets, while communicating with the Food Service Director to ensure compassionate,

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and follow written and oral directions in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in institutional food handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handles and prepares food in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Prepares meals as prescribed for residents by the attending physician.
• Meets required meal schedules and minimizes waste.
• Cares for dietary equipment and production sheets.
• Follows menus and special diet instructions.
• Communicates with the Food Service Director and cooperates with staff.
• Delivers high-quality service in a caring atmosphere.
