Job summary

YAI seeks a dedicated caregiver to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Levittown, NY. The role focuses on assisting with personal care, ADLs, and maintaining safety within a respectful, therapeutic setting.

You will follow individualized service plans, document services, and collaborate with a team to promote social connections and overall quality of life for those served.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to meet essential physical demands including lifting and assisting with movements as needed.
• Effective written and oral communication for documenting services and billing.
• Empathy, patience and compassion in interactions with individuals with I/DD.
• Willingness to assist with ADLs and maintain safety.

• Supports people to meet personal goals that characterize quality of life.
