YAI - Seeing beyond disability is seeking dedicated staff to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New Jersey. The role emphasizes person-centered care, safety, and respectful communication.

You will work within prescribed plans to promote quality of life and social engagement. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, administering basic medications under supervision, transporting participants to activities and appointments, and maintaining accurate

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver’s License with no more than five points is required.
• Ability to meet essential physical demands (standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs).
• Basic computer skills including email and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Provide emotional support and facilitate social activities.
• Maintain safety, supervision, and crisis management per plans.
• Document services and progress in records and EHR systems.
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities; coordinate schedules.
• Assist with medication management and inventory under supervision.
