Job summary

YAI is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Levittown, NY, to work closely with people of all ages who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The role includes assisting individuals in maximizing their strengths, ensuring their safety, and providing emotional support.

The ideal DSP candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, effective communication skills, and a passion for supporting individuals with I/DD. Full-time positions are available with varied schedules including weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of Direct Support Professional experience supporting the I/DD population required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Effective written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Basic computer skills including email and related systems.
