Job summary

Centerstone is seeking a Housing Specialist in St. Louis to help individuals experiencing homelessness secure safe, stable housing. You’ll engage directly with clients, navigate complex systems, and advocate for housing-first approaches while collaborating with local partners and landlords.

The role emphasizes SOAR training, benefits access, and supporting transitions to independent living in a compassionate, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
• OR Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support from an approved institution.
• OR Qualified to provide Community Support with multiple acceptable criteria.

Responsibilities

• Engage with individuals experiencing homelessness to help them find safe housing.
• Build relationships with landlords and educate on community programs.
• Attend Coordinated Entry meetings and collaborate with Continuums of Care.
• Assist clients in applying for benefits and accessing behavioral health and medical services.
• Support transitions to permanent housing and client independence.
