Job summary

PCH Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients between departments and the Diagnostic Services area, ensuring safety and accurate handoffs. You will document transports and operate basic equipment to support patient care.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, CPR within 90 days of hire, and ideally completion of a patient care aide training program.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Successful completion of a patient care aide-training program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients from various hospital departments to and from the Diagnostic Services Department.
• Maintains accurate records of patient transport to and from D.S. Department using RIS.
• Demonstrates knowledge of IVAC pumps, drainage devices, catheters, restraints and oxygen tanks.
• Handles stretchers/carts, wheelchairs, O2 tanks, transfer devices and PPE safely.
• Communicates to provide a safe environment for patients across all age groups.
