Job summary

TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center is seeking a Cook to join the Food & Nutrition team. You will prepare meals per recipes, support patient and staff dining needs, and help maintain cleanliness and organization in the department.

The role emphasizes adherence to policies, ethics, confidentiality, and alignment with the hospital's mission. A high school diploma and 1 year cooking experience are preferred, with ServSafe/food handler certification required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year of cooking experience preferred.
• Food Handlers or ServSafe certificate within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ability to perform specific competencies listed on the Competency Checklist.
• Integrate ethics in all areas of practice.
• Adhere to confidentiality and patient rights policies.
• Support the facilities' mission and values.
• Prepare food per recipe specifications for daily use on the patient line, retail areas, doctor's lounge, or for catered events.
• Read production sheets and forecast production needs.
