Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will ensure meals meet quality, safety, and presentation standards while following dietary requirements.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, prior cooking experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Vaccination policies and ServSafe/food handler certification may be required by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook or food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate with residents and staff.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies compliance.
• Must lift/push up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
