Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center is seeking a PRN Cook to join the Food & Nutrition team. The role focuses on enhanced preparation, cleanliness, and organization of food and supplies while delivering excellent service to patients and staff.

You will follow recipes, read production sheets, and ensure adherence to safety and confidentiality policies. Minimum high school completion; one year cooking experience preferred and ServSafe/food handler certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Degree / Equivalent.
• 1 year of cooking experience preferred.
• Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to perform competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist.
• Integrate ethics in all areas of practice.
• Adhere to confidentiality and patient's rights policies.
• Support the facility's mission and values.
• Prepare food per recipe specifications for patient line, retail areas, doctor’s lounge, or catered events.
• Read production sheets and forecast production needs.
