Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV seeks a Cook to support patient, staff and visitor dining. You will prepare meals per approved recipes, manage dish duties, and ensure timely service in a hospital kitchen setting.

Responsibilities include planning quantities, tracking low supplies, and coordinating with a supervisor to handle leftovers. High school grad and 1–3 years of related experience preferred; ServSafe is a plus within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent education/experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• ServSafe Certification preferred within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Determines types and quantities of all foods to be prepared by reviewing planned menus and tallies.
• Communicates low on foods/supplies/equipment to Director/Supervisor; assists in storing items after delivery.
• Ensures meals are ready at specified times and coordinates with director/supervisor regarding leftovers.
• Prepares all foods according to approved recipes and maintains presentable appearance with garnishes.
