Job summary

ExcelaCare Lubbock Hospice is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage office operations, data entry of patient information, and daily reports. The role supports administrative functions across departments, ensuring smooth workflow and a compliant, respectful environment for patients and families.

You will coordinate clinician scheduling, assist with billing, answer phones, and maintain confidential patient records while upholding regulatory standards and providing a positive patient

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate (College preferred).
• Experience: 2 years of general office and data input experience.
• Previous experience in billing (preferable hospice billing).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate office operations in accordance with regulations and policies.
• Data entry of patient information and daily reports.
• Provide administrative support to ensure departments function effectively.
• Prepare weekly clinician schedules and optimize scheduling by location and skill.
• Assist with billing processes as needed.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and manage referrals and orders.
• Maintain patient records with confidentiality and accuracy.
• Monitor reports and respond to workflow with appropriate actions.
• Ensure timely communication between patients, clinicians, and office staff.
