Job summary

Big Bend Hospice is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) On-Call (Part-Time) to provide after-hours nursing support within our eight-county service area. You will perform assessments, triage, educate families, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.

The role requires Florida RN licensure (or Multistate Compact), 3+ years of nursing experience, and hospice/palliative care experience is preferred. Strong communication and EMR skills are essential.

Qualifications

Active Florida RN License is required.
CHPN certification preferred.
BSN degree preferred.
Experience in hospice/palliative care is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide after-hours nursing support, assessment, and telephone triage.
Respond to patient and family concerns with compassion and clinical expertise.
Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members.
Assist with symptom management, medication concerns, and urgent patient needs.
Complete accurate and timely EMR documentation.
Educate patients and families on disease progression and comfort-focused care.
