Job summary

Big Bend Hospice is seeking an experienced RN On-Call to provide after-hours nursing care, triage, and guidance for patients and families in our eight-county service area. The role emphasizes compassionate, clinically excellent care during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team, document thoroughly in the EMR, and educate families on disease progression and comfort-focused care. Florida RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license (or Multistate Compact)
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience
• Hospice and/or palliative care experience preferred
• Strong assessment, triage, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Valid Florida driver license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours nursing support, assessment, and triage
• Respond to patient and family concerns with compassion and clinical expertise
