Job summary

Compassus seeks a Hospice Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team, delivering compassionate care in home and facility settings. You will assess patients, coordinate with the IDT, and provide education to patients and caregivers while supporting comfort and symptom management.

The role emphasizes on-call duties, collaboration with medical directors, and adherence to Compassus values. An RN license and CPR certification are required, with hospice/home health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform math-related tasks in a clinical setting (medication calculations, measurements).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to read/analyze professional materials.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English; patient and family education.

Responsibilities

• Completes routine and emergency assessments per policy.
• Provides clinical and psycho-social services per the plan of care.
• Documents observations, treatments, and other pertinent information.
• Communicates with IDT/ Medical Director and attending Physician to alleviate symptoms.
