Heart to Heart Hospice seeks a Medical Receptionist in Alaska. The role supports clerical tasks, patient communications, and reception duties within a hospice environment.

You will manage calls, scheduling, and documentation while upholding confidentiality and compassionate care as part of a dedicated team. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, office experience, and knowledge of medical terminology, with strong phone and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; college preferred.
• At least one year general office experience, preferably in healthcare or hospice.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Current state driver's license, reliable transportation, and ongoing auto liability insurance.
• Excellent phone skills, computer skills, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support including admission, orientation and new hire packets; monitor and order office supplies; typing, filing and copying.
• Facilitate the communications system including mail, pagers, phone system, memos and message dissemination.
• Promote effective communication with patient/family, team members and other health professionals; maintain confidentiality.
• Handle multi-line phone system and understand its features.
• Timely submission of all documentation.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws, Medicare regulations and personnel policies.
