Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Hospice Aide - Certified Nurse Assistant to provide in-home personal care and support to patients in the Raleigh-Durham area. Duties include assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, meals, and light homemaking under RN supervision.

The role offers competitive pay and benefits. CNA certification, CPR, and a valid driver's license are required to perform in-home care for patients in their homes.

Qualifications

• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers, ROM, positioning, and light household tasks.
• Plans and prepares meals, assists with feeding, and performs homemaking tasks.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Follows written care plans and assists with prescribed exercises.
• Performs simple urine tests as directed and other duties as assigned.
