Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or equivalent
• Current state CNA certification/registration required
• CNA experience within the last two years
• Current CPR certification required
• Valid driver’s license and liability insurance required

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics in patient care.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the primary nurse.
• Follows written instructions for personal care from the registered nurse.
• Assists with prescribed exercises as instructed by the nurse or therapist.
• Performs simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.
