Amedisys is seeking a Hospice Aide CNA to provide compassionate personal care to patients at home. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, meals, and light homemaking, while following nursing plans of care. Mileage is reimbursed, and benefits begin after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification and CPR certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to personal care tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient's status.
• Follows written instructions from a registered nurse.
• Assists with prescribed exercises as instructed by the nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.
