Bristol Hospice is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) in Costa Mesa, CA. This PRN role supports an interdisciplinary team under a Registered Nurse supervisor, providing personal care and compassionate, dignified hospice support to patients in their homes.

The ideal candidate holds a valid CNA and CA HHA certification, with CPR and a willingness to undergo routine background checks.1 year in hospice/healthcare is preferred, and a driving route with insured vehicle is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing and CA HHA certification.
• CA residents require additional CA-specific requirements.
• Prefer 1 year of experience in community health/hospice or medical/surgical settings.
• Minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with insured vehicle.
• Willingness to pass a background check annually.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily tasks as assigned.
• Communicate with patients and families in a compassionate, ethical manner.
• Meet safety needs of patients and use equipment properly.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, meals, and daily activities.
• Record vitals and report significant changes to the Case Manager.
• Maintain a clean, orderly living area and document care.
