Job summary

Pallatus Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate hands-on care to hospice patients in homes and care facilities. Working under the supervision of registered nurses, you will help ensure comfort and dignity during the end-of-life journey.

Responsibilities include personal care, vital signs, documentation, meal assistance, and emotional support for patients and families. CNA certification, HS diploma, and reliable transportation for home visits are required; CPR

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of practice.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical care tasks.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for home visits.
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans.
• Comfortable working with patients facing end-of-life situations.
• Current CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the registered nurse.
• Assist with comfort measures including positioning, skin care, and mobility support.
• Take and record vital signs as directed by nursing staff.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to patient care areas.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding assistance when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
• Respect patient privacy, dignity, and cultural preferences.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
