Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a hospice aide to join our home health team in the Baltimore area. This full-time role supports patients at home, delivering personal care under the supervision of a nurse.

Responsibilities include daily living tasks, meal support, safety, reporting changes, and following a care plan. CNA certification and CPR are required, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CNA certification.
• CPR certification.
• CNA experience within the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics in care tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Follows written care plan instructions.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as directed.
• Performs and records simple urine tests as instructed.
• Other duties as assigned.
