Job summary

Amedisys Home Health is seeking a hospice aide for full-time day shifts to provide compassionate in-home care. You will assist with personal care, meals, and daily living activities in patients' homes across Indiana and nearby areas.

The role requires a CNA certification, CPR certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. Expect competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current state CNA certification is required.
• CPR certification and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics during care, ambulation, transfers, ROM, positioning, and household chores.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding, and helps with meal prep.
• Performs homemaking and environmental tasks as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Follows written care instructions prepared by a registered nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.
