Job summary

TriHealth is seeking a Chaplain to support patients and families in hospice care, serving as a trusted resource for nurses, physicians, and caregivers. You will work in a field-based/home-care setting covering the west side of Cincinnati, with day shifts, no weekends, and an on-call rotation.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's and a Master’s in Divinity/Theology (or equivalent), plus CPE (3 units) and 3–4 years of chaplaincy experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Master's degree in Divinity/Theology or equivalent is preferred/acknowledged.
• Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is required.
• Completion of at least three CPE units via ACPE/APC/NACC/NAJC.
• 4 CPE units preferred; 3-4 years of chaplaincy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Visits patients and families to provide pastoral ministry.
• Offers ministry in crisis situations and responds to referrals promptly.
• Participates in on-call rotations and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Maintains spiritual assessments, care plans, and documentation in the EMR.
• Supports patients and families during end-of-life and bereavement care.
