Job summary

Alternate Solutions Health Network is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide compassionate personal care to patients in a hospice setting. You will support basic daily activities and comfort measures, while ensuring clear communication with the supervising nurse and family members.

This role follows the organization’s standards and state requirements. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, with competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within the Adena Hospice

Qualifications

• Meets the state training requirements and competency evaluation program or licensure.
• One year of experience preferred, ideally in Hospice care.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
• Capable of all physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) as ordered.
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients and in meal prep and feeding.
• Assist in ambulation and range of motion as instructed by the nurse or therapist.
• Maintain good relationships with patient, family, and staff; report changes to supervisor.
• Attend in-service training and mandatory agency meetings.
