Job summary

All American Home Care LLC seeks a dedicated Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to terminally ill patients in homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice centers. Under RN supervision, you’ll assist with daily living activities to ensure comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

You will support mobility, nutrition, and emotional well-being while following care plans and infection control protocols in a team-based hospice environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: CNA or HHA certification (state varies).
• Experience: Hospice, home health, or elder care preferred.
• Skills: Compassionate, patient, and emotionally resilient; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, and skin care.
• Assist with mobility needs such as repositioning, transfers, and walking assistance.
• Monitor and report changes in the patient’s condition to the RN or healthcare team.
• Support nutritional needs by assisting with feeding and meal preparation as needed.
• Provide emotional and social support to patients and their families.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the patient.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to patient care.
• Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate records of care provided.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Respect the privacy, dignity, and cultural beliefs of patients and their families.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary hospice team, including nurses, social workers, and chaplains, to ensure holistic care.
