Job summary

Optum is seeking a Hospice Aide/CNA in Lafayette, LA to provide in-home care and support to patients. You will assist with personal hygiene, daily living activities, and household tasks to help clients remain in their own homes.

The role requires CNA certification in Louisiana (or completion of a training program), plus a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Preferred CPR and 6+ months of home care experience, with flexible hours and independence.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transportation
• LA: Current CNA certification or successful completion of a training program
• Current First Aid Certification
• CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• 6+ months of home care experience
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
