Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a certified nursing assistant to deliver personal care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in an inpatient setting. You will assist with baths, mobility, feeding, and daily living activities while maintaining safety and comfort.

You will work as part of a compassionate team, follow hospice philosophy, and ensure accurate electronic documentation. A high school diploma and current Maryland CNA registration are required, with nursing program

Qualifications

Knowledge of Hospice Philosophy
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to work independently and with others under supervision
Compassionate care for ill and dying patients
Proficient with computers and electronic documentation

Responsibilities

Provide personal care including bathing, hygiene, feeding assistance and changing bed linens.
Assist with mobility, ambulation and routine exercises as directed by the Hospice Nurse or therapist.
Monitor patient condition and report significant changes to supervising nurse.
Maintain patient comfort, safety and privacy during care activities.
Support in light housekeeping and linen changes to maintain a clean patient environment.
Observe safety protocols with equipment and call systems and document observations.
Provide respite support to patient, family and caregiver when on-site as appropriate.
