Job summary

Right at Home Las Cruces is seeking compassionate Homemaker/Companion caregivers to support seniors in the local community. The role focuses on companionship, light housekeeping, and helping clients maintain independence in their own homes.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, have completed the competency evaluation, and can lift up to 50 lbs. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must have successfully completed a written Competency Evaluation.
• Sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must have a current and valid driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship during activities and outings.
• Assist with homemaking tasks (vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishes, laundry, bathrooms).
• Spend time with clients and build relationships.
• Prepare simple meals and run errands as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and adapt to client needs.
