Job summary

Right at Home Las Cruces is seeking compassionate Homemaker Companions to support seniors in their own community. You’ll provide companionship, assist with light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep, and safe transportation support.

Training is provided, schedules are flexible, and you will be paid weekly with mileage reimbursement. You’ll build meaningful relationships while delivering respectful, quality care in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate.
• Competency Evaluation completed.
• Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Current and valid driver’s license to operate a vehicle in compliance with laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship during activities such as walks, outings, and hobbies.
• Assist with homemaking tasks (vacuuming, cleaning, laundry, dishes) within 20% of time.
• Establish partner relationships with clients and support independent living.
• Prepare meals and assist with grocery shopping as needed.
• Care for clients in their home and community with compassion and respect.
