Right at Home in Deming, NM is seeking a compassionate Homemaker/Companion to provide in-home care for seniors and adults with disabilities. You will offer companionship, assist with daily activities, and help with light homemaking tasks in clients' homes.

The role emphasizes building meaningful relationships, treating clients with respect, and adapting to each person’s routines. Training, flexible schedules, and supportive leadership are provided to help you grow in this vital community role.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must have completed a written Competency Evaluation.
• Sympathetic attitude toward care of clients.
• Read, write, speak English with/without accommodations.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must have a current and valid driver’s license.

Aufgaben

• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Assist with homemaking tasks (vacuuming, dusting, sweeping/mopping, dishes, laundry, linens, bathrooms).
• Engage in activities with clients (walks, hobbies, outings) to build relationships.
• Prepare simple meals and shop for groceries as needed.
• Work with a team and follow safety protocols, including PPE when required.
