Job summary

Sandcastle Homecare is seeking an attentive caregiver to join our home care team in Florida. The role involves providing personal care and assistance with daily activities under supervision, observing client responses to care, and reporting observations to the Office Manager and Administrator.

You will maintain a respectful, confidential environment while supporting clients’ comfort and independence. This position requires compassionate communication, adherence to safety and infection control

Responsibilities

• Provides client care as directed by the assigned supervisor.
• Assists with ADLs and IADLs as needed (e.g. bathing, dressing, hygiene, meal prep, housekeeping, laundry, medication management).
• Measures and records physiological characteristics (e.g. temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, height, weight).
• Encourages movement to prevent skin breakdown and repositions clients when unable to move.
• Reports observable changes in client physical, mental or emotional condition to supervisor.
• Performs general care such as light housekeeping, meal preparation and linen changes.
• Follows infection control and Universal Precautions.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and adheres to client rights including privacy and dignity.
• Responds promptly and appropriately in emergencies.
• Uses equipment safely and correctly.
• Recognizes client needs with empathy and compassion.
• Adheres to Time and Attendance guidelines and work schedule.
