Job summary

Sandcastle Homecare is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to join our home care team. You will work under the supervision of the Office Manager and Administrator to meet client needs and document observations about their health and wellbeing.

The role involves assisting with personal and instrumental activities of daily living, recording vital signs, and ensuring client privacy and dignity while delivering compassionate care. You will follow safety protocols and respond promptly in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Provides client care under supervision of Office Manager and Administrator.
• Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding, continence, mobility and transfers.
• Assists with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) including meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Measures and records physiological characteristics (temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, height, weight).
• Encourages movement to prevent skin breakdown; repositions clients unable to move.
• Reports changes in client condition to supervisor.
• Performs light housekeeping, meal prep, meal cleanup, laundry, and linen changes as needed.
• Follows infection control and Universal Precautions.
